DESCRIPTION:During the fourth webinar we will:\n\nExplore our hopes and fears about living in cohousing\nPractice deep listening without evaluation\nExplore ways to mitigate or address our fears\nDiscuss whether cohousing is a good fit (and why or why not)?\nReview next steps for those interested in starting a community or in joining a formed or forming community\nAnswer any questions with a short Q&A\n\nEVENT FEE \nThe cost to attend is $75 per person or $100 per household*. Registration includes participation in the four webinar workshops\, pre-workshop questionnaires\, handouts and a certificate of completion. \nSpace is limited to TWENTY FOUR (24) participants per series\, so we encourage you to reserve your pass early. DESCRIPTION:Learn with Naomi Grant\, Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury\, about fostering sustainable and supportive healthy neighbourhoods\nAbout this Event \nHow can you choose or create a neighbourhood that is healthy for you\, your family\, and nature? In this webinar\, we will explore some of the qualities of a healthy neighbourhoods\, and some of the ways these qualities can be fostered or created. \nThese qualities include: \n\nA walkable\, complete neighbourhood where you can access your daily destinations without a motor vehicle;\nSmaller\, energy efficient homes and local green energy;\nMinimizing waste\, rethinking waste as a resource\,:\nGrowing food and caring for soil;\nTree planting and naturalization;\nAbsorbing rain where it falls and being good stewards for our water;\nPlaces to play\, move\, and gather;\nPeople-friendly\, supportive neighbours;\nCreating positive change together.\n\nSign me up! \n \nNaomi Grant is a community organizer and activist in Greater Sudbury who facilitates collaborative\, grassroots efforts for a more sustainable and equitable community. She co-chairs Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury where she works on issues such as climate change\, protecting nature and water\, sustainable transportation\, local food security\, and citizens having their voices heard and actions supported. With an M. Sc. In biology\, she has a special interest in protecting local greenspaces and is involved in creek and greenspace stewardship\, as well as community building in her neighbourhood\, with the Friends of the Roxborough Greenbelt. \n
