Sweetfern Cohousing

Sweetfern Cohousing is an intergenerational cohousing group forming in Sudbury. After the core group had been meeting for a while, they felt that their membership wasn’t growing enough and that they weren’t making sufficient progress. Their goal was to be living in their cohousing community within the next 2 – 5 years after all! Sweetfern hired Cohousing Options Canada to coach the group and provide foundational services that enable them to progress more rapidly and to get their timeline on track. Specific areas Cohousing Options Canada helps them address include:
  • Membership development
  • Fundraising
  • Financial frameworks
  • Committee structure
  • Process & Decision Making
  • Communications & Community Engagement
  • Core group incorporation

Project 3

Cohousing Toronto

Cohousing Toronto is in the early stages of forming a group to develop an all-ages cohousing community in the Toronto area within the next three years. We have established our mission, vision and values, and confirmed our membership, meeting management, and decision-making processes.

Cohousing Toronto envisions a vibrant, multi-generational community where members live independently and enjoy meaningful social connections. The planned neighbourhood will balance private homes with shared indoor and outdoor spaces that are designed to support a healthy, joyful, and sustainable community life.
